The City of Los Angeles will be showcasing the Earthquake Early Warning System at the InnovateLA 2018 conference, a two week, countywide celebration of the breadth of innovation and creativity within the Los Angeles region. During the conference a range of speakers will discuss a variety of innovations in areas from cleantech to gaming, aerospace to digital media and beyond.

The presentation on Earthquake Early Warning is a chance to celebrate work being done across the LA region in collaboration with local, state and federal partners to install notification hardware integrated with the public announcement systems of the LA City Hall complex (main City Hall building). This hardware will provide earthquake early alerts to key decision makers and building occupants.  This project was made possible through a collaboration from the City of Los Angeles, USGS, and Early Warning Labs, and will make the City a government leader in rolling out earthquake early warning systems in the United States.
