LA City Council Advances “Keep Hollywood Home” Plan to Protect Local Film Jobs
Los Angeles film industry jobs are the focus of a new City Council initiative. The entertainment sector is a primary economic driver for the region. Recently, many productions have moved to other locations. This shift affects the ability of local workers to cover essential costs like housing and healthcare.

Councilmember Adrin Nazarian introduced the "Keep Hollywood Home" motions to the LA City Council. These measures provide increased City support for film and television productions that remain in Los Angeles. The Council passed the measures with support from local labor groups and film crews. This vote marks the beginning of a multi-phase program to expand City resources for the local entertainment workforce.
