LALEY Scholarship Event Supports Education and Legacy at Annual Holiday Event
The annual LALEY Scholarship Award Ceremonies kicked off the holiday season at the Los Angeles Police Protective League offices. The event was hosted by the Latin American Law Enforcement Association (LALEY), an organization that prides itself on mentoring and guiding young Latino leaders to help prepare future generations for success.
The ceremony honored high school and college students, encouraging them to pursue higher education. During the event, the Noah Antonio Scholarship Memorial Fund was launched in memory of an LAPD officer’s son, ensuring his legacy lives on. The fund aims to uplift, encourage, and assist students with the financial costs of higher education.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Chief Jim McDonnell welcomed attendees, commended the scholarship recipients for their hard work, and encouraged them to continue pursuing their goals.
The event concluded with thanks to LALEY, LAPD, and the entire community for supporting Latino youth.
