New Nonprofit Fund to Bolster LA County Public Health Services
Big news for public health in Los Angeles: a new fund aims to strengthen the systems that keep communities safe and healthy.

At the launch of the Fund for Advancing Public Health in LA, Barbara Ferrer said the nonprofit will help build up the county’s public health system. A foundation has already donated $150,000, and the goal is to raise $2 million to support LA County health services and key programs.

Holly Mitchell added that access to care is essential, and this fund will be one more tool to support healthcare in the region. It will help provide resources for important work like water testing and tracking infectious diseases, making sure the county can better protect everyone.
