Japanese culture takes center stage as the Nisei Parade fills the streets with music, dancing, tradition, and community pride.

Celebrating Nisei—the second generation of Japanese Americans—the family-friendly event honors the history and contributions of Japanese American families while bringing people from all backgrounds together. Attendees enjoy authentic Japanese food, cultural performances and traditional displays, including Matoi and Mando, accompanied by drums, bells and flutes.

For participants and spectators, the annual parade offers a meaningful connection to Japan and an opportunity to experience the rich Japanese culture found throughout Los Angeles.
