Are you a Drop Defender?

Drop Defender

The drought in California has been going on for 4 straight years. In January of 2014, the Governor proclaimed a State of Emergency and in April of 2015 issued an Executive Order asking California to reduce water consumption by 25%.

Los Angeles is already a leader in Water Conservation. We use as much water today as we did 45 years ago, when our city had 1 million fewer residents! However, the current drought has pushed the city to do even more to conserve. The city has reduced water consumption by 13% compared to last year - achieving 113 gallons per person every day.

Angelenos can do a lot to save water - from taking short showers to reducing outdoor irrigation. Tell us how you "save the Drop" and get your friends to vote for your entry for a chance to win at SavetheDropLA.org.
