Councilwoman Nury Martinez, Council District 6, took a portion of the City Council meeting on March 8 to observe "International Women's Day/Day Without a Woman" in solidarity with the Women's March organizers and to give an opportunity for the women of the City workforce to also participate and highlight the important work they do every day.
Organizers of ‘A Day Without a Woman’ sought to observe the day to continue the critical effort to highlight the struggles of marginalized communities and assaults on human rights and civil liberties.
