Los Angeles, Calif. – Sept. 24, 2025 – The Center for Digital Government (CDG) has named the City of Los Angeles an Outstanding Achievement winner in the 2025 Government Experience Awards in the category of Overall City Government Experience Winners, recognizing the city’s commitment to building more accessible, equitable, and engaging digital services.

Los Angeles earned the honor alongside other leading U.S. cities for its innovation in people-first service design, integration of next-generation tools, and dedication to expanding digital equity.

Under the leadership of Mayor Karen Bass, and in partnership with the City’s Information Technology Agency, the City is reimagining how Angelenos interact with their government—both digitally and in person. By examining resident experiences, the City continues to identify opportunities to improve services and expand digital engagement across Los Angeles.

This year, ITA advanced key initiatives including telework standards, cybersecurity, user experience, and technology replacement. The agency also established centralized platforms and contracts to help departments work more efficiently, coordinated Smart City initiatives, and delivered best-in-class digital services to make it easier for Angelenos to connect with their City.

The Government Experience Awards celebrate state and local governments nationwide that are advancing digital service delivery while keeping accessibility, transparency, and public trust at the center of their strategies.
