According to the 2024 J.D. Power Sustainability Index, the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) was ranked #1 out of the 35 largest utility companies in the U.S.
The power sustainability index measures utility companies current climate sustainability as well as their future plans to increase clean energy. With a growth of ten points from 2023, LADWP was ranked the utility company with the most improvements.
The expansion of EV charging plazas, increased EV rebates, and new solar and battery storage contributed to a move toward a future of cleaner energy.
