The City of Los Angeles has released an "Earthquake Watch" website at http://earthquake.lacity.org/ that will provide a live feed about earthquakes that have occurred in the Los Angeles area in the past 24 hours.
The Earthquake Watch website retrieves earthquake data from the national US Geological Survey (USGS) and filters it down specifically for Los Angeles area residents. In addition, the site will host important information about how to be notified when earthquakes occur and tips on how to best prepare for the next earthquake.
The City hopes that this becomes an important tool to educate residents about earthquake preparation and safety. Visit and bookmark earthquake.lacity.org today!
