Angelenos in Porter Ranch and Granada Hills are urged to conserve water as LAFD and LADWP predeploy crews and City plans to open bottled water sites.
LOS ANGELES – Mayor Karen Bass announced preparations that are underway as the City responds to a potential water outage in the neighborhoods of Porter Ranch and Granada Hills in the San Fernando Valley. City crews are working through the night to mitigate impacts on Angelenos who may be without water, keep communities safe and perform repairs to the system quickly and safely.
“Right now the City of Los Angeles is mobilizing to address the potential of a water outage in Porter Ranch and Granada Hills,” said Mayor Bass. “The City is working to set up water distribution sites if needed. In addition, LAFD and LADWP have predeployed emergency first responders. We will be ready to address this issue as needed.”
