We're committed to bettering the lives of all Angelenos, including our most vulnerable residents. You can make a real difference in the life of a homeless LGBTQ young person by donating professional clothing for job interviews. During the month of September, you'll be able to drop off professional clothing in good condition, recently dry cleaned or washed and wrinkle-free, at the City Controller's office on the third floor of City Hall East, or the Mayor's Help Desk on the third floor of City Hall. We're also accepting purses and shoes in good condition, as well as travel-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toothpaste.
The items will be donated to homeless youth via the Los Angeles LGBT Center, which serves thousands of LGBTQ young people with shelter, meals, counseling, employment services and much more. For more information on the Center or to make a monetary donation, click here.
Thank you for your commitment to our City and for all that you do for Angelenos.
City Controller Ron Galperin
