2026 Abilities Expo: Breaking Barriers and Supporting all Abilities
The Abilities Expo is one of the nation's largest events supporting individuals with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. The Expo encourages people of all abilities to attend and find out more about products and services that can support living with disabilities.
The event aims to break barriers and push past limits by showing that people with disabilities are capable of "literally everything," even if tasks are performed differently. This visibility is meant to counter the social stigma surrounding disabled people.
Attendees enjoyed a wide range of adaptive activities and a dance performance by The Rollettes, a wheelchair dance team.
Participants in the Expo hope for greater inclusivity in all services and highlighted "Play LA," which offers adaptive recreation, ahead of the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.
