Big changes are coming to North Hollywood streets! Local leaders recently broke ground on the Chandler Bicycle Connection, a project designed to close a crucial three-mile gap in the city’s cycling network. Once finished, riders can enjoy a seamless 21-mile path stretching from Chatsworth to Burbank.

This upgrade is about much more than just paint on the ground. The project adds protective barriers, better lighting, and new benches to turn a simple transit route into a vibrant community space. Officials say these "protected lanes" are proven to slow down traffic and keep everyone safer.

For many neighbors, this is a chance to ditch the stress of LA street traffic and parking. With half of all local trips being under three miles, the City hopes this path encourages residents to try running errands on two wheels.
