The 2nd Annual LAPD Human Trafficking Summit
Los Angeles Police Department Chief of Police Jim McDonnell welcomed community organizations, advocacy groups, and members of the public to the second Annual LAPD Human Trafficking Summit. The event brought together law enforcement, the City and District Attorney’s offices, and support organizations to strengthen coordination and share resources.
Human trafficking remains a global crisis, and Los Angeles County continues to be one of the hardest-hit regions, with children as young as 12 exploited. A central focus of the summit was improving efforts to prosecute those who traffic minors and those who pay for their exploitation. LAPD urged community members to report suspected trafficking and help authorities combat this ongoing problem.
