After 7 Years, This LA Splash Pad Is Back!
After being closed for more than seven summers, the Panorama City Park splash pad is officially back, bringing smiles, laughter, and much-needed relief to families in one of Los Angeles' most densely populated neighborhoods.
Community members, City leaders, and nearly 200 families gathered to celebrate the grand reopening of the free splash pad, a long-awaited investment that provides local children with a safe place to play and cool off during the summer heat.
The reopening is also a story of community advocacy. Inspired by a simple question from her son about why the splash pad had been closed, one Panorama City resident worked with her children, neighbors, and local leaders to push for change.
