Become a Foster Pet Parent with LA Animal Services
LA City Animal Services (LAAS) recently held a pet fostering event at its East Valley Animal Services Center, one of six locations across the City of Los Angeles. The fostering program helps dogs and cats by moving them out of the shelter environment and into temporary, loving homes.

The commitment for fostering can be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Fosters can also help these pets get adopted through networking. As an incentive, LAAS supports its fosters by providing supplies to help with the pets transition, and also offers opportunities to network the pets at on-site adoption events.

To become a foster, you must be a resident of the City of Los Angeles, have a valid government ID, and complete required paperwork found on the LA Animal Services website under the "fostering" section.
