Blind Soccer Is Opening Doors for Youth Across Los Angeles
At first, it looks like every other soccer game, but listen closely, this isn’t ordinary soccer.
It’s Blind Soccer season in LA, and you won’t believe how the game is played. Using a ball with rattles so players can hear its location, participants learn passing, dribbling, and shooting while building confidence and teamwork.
Designed for everyone, not just those who are blind, the program empowers all players, especially children with disabilities, to take part in the same activities as their peers. Through Blind Soccer and other adaptive sports offered by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, youth of all ages and abilities can connect, play, and thrive.
