The LA Civil Rights Department presented El Nido Family Centers in Pacoima with funding awarded through a participatory budgeting process, which allowed community members to vote on how the funds would be spent.

The funding will support a year-round farmers market, provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs to sell their products, and offer Angelenos a full year of gardening, cooking, yoga, and Zumba classes.
