Exploring the Female Perspective: The Diverse Art of "Heavy Metal"
Steel, sound, and powerful stories are filling the walls of Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery in Barnsdall Art Park.
“Heavy Metal,” a group exhibition featuring 20 women artists, is presented by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. The exhibit explores strength, scale, and the female perspective through sculpture, wall pieces, sound, and immersive installations in a wide range of colors, textures, and materials. Guests can also see paintings and drawings by Ivan Bridges and Rachel Bridges in the gallery’s Project Room. The exhibition runs through June 20.
