Firefighters Lead the Effort to Secure LAFD Funding
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), along with Councilwoman Traci Park, kicked off a ballot measure campaign at Fire Station No. 58 aimed at securing long-term funding for the department.
The proposed ballot measure would add a half-cent sales tax dedicated solely to building and maintaining fire stations and increasing staffing and equipment. The campaign is being led by LAFD firefighters, not City Hall, and requires signatures from Angelenos to qualify for the November 2026 ballot. To learn more about this measure, visit FundLAFire.com.
