How New Trees are Transforming Koreatown
Los Angeles tree planting efforts are growing a greener future in Koreatown. The City of Los Angeles partnered with local groups to plant native California trees. These new trees will soon provide shade, cool the streets, and make the neighborhood better for walking.
This project is a long-term investment in our climate. Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky supports this work to improve air quality and community health. Within two to three years, residents will enjoy a fuller tree canopy that helps lower stress and beautifies the area.
StreetsLA and nonprofit partners are working together to expand our urban forest. This growth ensures a cooler, healthier Los Angeles for everyone.
