LA Mission College served as the site of the latest Hire Hope Job Fair, a collaborative event organized by LA Family Housing and the city’s AJCC (America’s Job Centers of California). The fair was designed to connect job seekers with employers and provide access to employment support services.

Participants begin by enrolling in the program, which includes resume workshops, interview preparation, and job-readiness training. Organizers said these steps ensure that candidates are prepared before meeting potential employers.

The fair featured a wide range of job opportunities, including positions with the LAPD, the U.S. Marine Corps, and several retail and warehouse employers. Attendees noted that city job openings were a major draw, given their availability and stability.

Employers offered on-the-spot hiring for some positions, and event staff emphasized that there were no barriers to participation. Job seekers could walk in, sign up, and receive services the same day.

Organizers encouraged residents who may feel hesitant about attending job fairs to consider visiting future events, noting that resources are available for individuals at all experience levels.
