Launching a New Legislative Management System on October 26, 2026

The Office of the City Clerk is launching a new Legislative Management System (LMS) on Oct 26, 2026. Available at LMS.LACITY.GOV, this platform will replace the retiring Council File Management System (CFMS).

Designed to modernize the city's legislative processes, the centralized platform provides seamless access to all Office of the City Clerk tools without redirecting users to external portals. By consolidating essential features into a single interface, the LMS makes it easier for the public to engage with the City Council.

Key features integrated into the system include the existing council file database, council and committee agenda databases, a public comment portal, and agenda subscription options.

LMS goes live on Monday, October 26, 2026. https://lms.lacity.gov/
