Los Angeles' New Community Investment Department
The City of Los Angeles has established the Community Investment Department (CID), bringing together four previously independent departments to provide more coordinated and comprehensive services to Angelenos.
Abigail R. Marquez, General Manager of CID, explains how the new department brings together the Youth Development Department, Economic and Workforce Development Department, Community Investment for Families Department, and Aging Department under one unified framework.
From workforce development and financial assistance to youth programs, services for older adults, and small business support, CID aims to better connect residents, families, workers, and local businesses with the resources they need.
With a mission to invest in people and create thriving communities, CID is taking a more holistic approach to serving Angelenos and strengthening communities across Los Angeles.
