Offering Hope and Support at the Downtown Women's Center
The Downtown Women's Center is celebrating a $500,000 grant that will expand services for women experiencing homelessness.

The funding will help provide essential resources, including meals, showers, case management, and other daily necessities, while also supporting longer-term services such as mental health care, job readiness, and employment assistance.

For many women, the Downtown Women's Center provides a safe and supportive environment, connecting them with resources designed to promote stability, recovery, and long-term housing.

The grant was awarded through LA REPAIR (Reforms for Equity and Public Acknowledgement of Institutional Racism), a participatory budgeting initiative that gives Los Angeles residents the opportunity to help decide how City funds are invested in their communities.
