Palisades Charter High School Welcomes Students Back
Students, parents, and buses filled the streets as Palisades Charter High School reopened for its first day back on campus. After a difficult year, students were excited to return to the Palisades.
Councilwoman Traci Park called the reopening an incredible moment in the recovery process, coming just over a year after wildfires destroyed the school. The return marked the fulfillment of a promise to bring students back as soon as it was possible and safe.
The principal said once they received the green light, the move into the new space happened in just three days. Classrooms are fully complete, with only minor work continuing on the football field. While small issues may come up, the school expects things to run smoothly, and homecoming is now scheduled to take place on the restored campus.
