Park to Park 2026: Open Streets Joins Two Parks Along Wilshire
Metro helps fund open streets events across Los Angeles County, including Park to Park 2026, which transformed Wilshire Boulevard into a people-first public space. Over two days, the event connected MacArthur Park and Lafayette Park, creating miles of car-free streets for walking, biking, rolling, and enjoying the neighborhood.

With traffic temporarily rerouted, families, friends, and neighbors were able to explore Wilshire Boulevard in a new way—free from cars. Community members gathered to socialize, enjoy activities, and experience a clean, safe, and welcoming public space.

Beyond operating buses and trains, Metro invests in projects that expand transportation options and strengthen partnerships with local communities. Through funding for open streets events, construction, and shuttle services, Metro helps create more connected, accessible, and vibrant neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
