People, Places, Events across LA: the Metro App helps Riders get Going
Los Angeles Metro has launched its first-ever official rider app, giving Angelenos a smarter and more personalized way to navigate the city.
The app helps users plan trips with real-time bus, rail, and bike options, while learning daily travel patterns, such as regular commutes to work or school, to tailor the experience around the routes they use most. Riders can also quickly locate amenities like bathrooms, bike lockers, and TAP retailers.
Metro is also modernizing payments, allowing riders to tap and pay with physical or digital credit and debit cards across Metro and 26 participating regional transit agencies. While these improvements arrive ahead of the FIFA World Cup, they are part of a much larger effort to transform the transit experience for everyday riders, visitors, and the millions expected for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games.
