Richardson Family Park: New Green Space in South Central L.A.
Richardson Family Park, located in Council District 8 in South Central Los Angeles, recently reopened following a full renovation and modernization. Community members came out to celebrate the reopening and enjoy the park’s new games, equipment, and upgraded spaces. With green space limited in South Central L.A., these improvements are designed to support health and wellness while providing much-needed recreational opportunities.
The park now offers a safe, welcoming place for both young and older Angelenos to gather, learn, socialize, and exercise. Additional enhancements are still underway, including the installation of a mural and the resurfacing of the basketball court.
