Starting June 5th, enjoy free family-friendly movies under the stars, right on the sand. Kicking off the season is "Encanto", the magical story of the Madrigal family in Colombia. Looking for something fun to do with your teens? The Los Angeles Public Library invites teens and tweens to the Chatsworth Branch Library for a Lucha Libré masks workshop. Youth ages 11 to 18 will explore the history and culture of Lucha Libré mascaras and get creative. Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m.

Ready to kick off summer and get moving? The Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is hosting a free summer 5K at MacArthur Park Community Center on Saturday, June 6th. Check-in starts at 8:00 a.m. with race time at 9:30 a.m. Open to all ages. And all registered participants receive a finisher medal, official t-shirt, and bib.
